A few photographs taken during my research for the project so far. This is an extremely limited selection which will be substantially added to in the coming weeks and months, and as such represents only the bare bones, or an overview of, Brontë Beginnings.

The County Down Outlook's appeal for knowledgeable locals, ahead of my visit to the area of Patrick Brontë's birth:

At the bithplace of Patrick Brontë, near Rathfriland, with, L-R, Uel Wright (descendent of Dr William Wright, author of The Brontës in Ireland) Anne McKee, née Brontë (descendent of the family), Kathleen McNeice (retired teacher of Brontë Primary School who delivers historical tours of the area).



Museum at Brontë Interpretative Centre, Newry, based in the adjoining old school room at Drumballyroney Church, where Patrick taught in the 1790's, before leaving for Cambridge University.
